Guster.
They were my first love before SSLYBY, and the two bands are fighting for my favorite band slot. I love the Guster guys, I got to meet them last fall. And I got to talk to Phil about them. =)

for some reason I never loved wowee zowee as much as any of the other pavement albums (its hard to compare something to crooked rain or slanted and enchanted) but now I am discovering what an incredible aquired taste it is. its such a weird CD but the songs kennel district and father to a sister of thought, alone, make it worth getting.

pavement albums in order of greatness: 1. crooked rain, crooked rain 2. wowee zowee 3. brighten the corners 4. slanted & enchanted 5. terror twilight
i'm not sure why i'm posting this, but i thought it was a good idea

I have no idea how to number them except for the fact that I know terror twilight is last. other than that 1-4 are all kind of tied depending on my mood. I think I might like slanted and enchanted more than wowee zowee but I'm not sure. even though I am wearing my sm/jicks shirt there is no denying that pavement were so much better

dudes I just started listening to elliott smith and sam coome's old band, heatmiser and they are pretty great. its like a heavier version of elliott smith with louder instrumentation/slightly different voice but it still sounds just like him. theres this one song that I keep putting on repeat, its so good. www.last.fm/music/Heatmiser/_/Plainclothes+Man

Used to own this CD a long time ago and just bought it again - off iTunes last month. I especialy love "Sing," "Side," and "Flowers in the Window."
