from phil: "about the new song and video; i can send you an mp3, i think. that version in the video isn't even the final mix...actually, i think polyvinyl has it. it's on the new 7" split with puzzle. i wasnt even planning on it being a real song. i recorded it in my apartment last spring by myself and it actually sounded good, unlike all the other things i tried to record. i think we might start playing it live." once I get the mp3 I can upload it to mediafire or something

What is this?? I like it though, that's Phil's little brother right? That was my best guess as well. I thought the lyrics were cool. I'm the second of six kids. None of them are like me at all, but it IS fun when you can see yourself in your younger siblings...like if you play the guitar and your younger sibling started playing the guitar about the same time as you did...or if you liked skateboarding in middle school, and so does your sibling.

I just checked, Amazon.com also has MP3 download of Not Worth Fighting also. So it looks like you'll be able to download it from somewhere. Oddly enough, Amazon only has the MP3 download of it (you can chose a page for both songs or them individually). Their vinyl store only has Pershing, not even the vinyl version of Broom.

I can extract mp3's from YouTube videos. Sadly I couldn't figure out how to do it with Facebook. While looking for a possible YouTube version of "Same Speed" I came across this hilarious video interview that was just posted today. Listen carefully for Phil and Will almost choosing Parker Posey as their band mascot, but going with Brad Pitt instead. It was also very cute when Phil sang a little of ... I think it's Michael W. Smith. I used to have that cassette tape in high school.
