Someone on Twitter was asking the band for lyrics to Bended. It's one of my favorite new songs, so I made an attempt back in August to transcribe the lyrics. Don't remember if I posted this anywhere before, but here's my take whether wrong or right:
Maybe what's mine Will be revealed in time no good for me And maybe what hides Will not be so kind to my symmetry But the cold damp light Shines on me tonight Shoots painfully Burned through the core Of a boy no more descended Standing straight and tall I'm not bended Not for awhile I'm not bended Not by a mile [music] Gonna work my way through the grass Get there faster Then you and me made it Been waiting on a car lots Well livin's pickin' up Shake and stay We even say Save it for some only Kind word on his tongue Then in good time Those sparkle and they shine Sink painfully Into the boy I'm a boy who once defended Standing on my own But not bended Not by a mile Not bended Not for awhile Ooo

corduroybooks.wordpress.com/2011/01/15/albums-you-missed-in-2010-part-one/"When I look back and think about the albums that have moved me most, they’re always the ones that, on first listen, seem too simple or too odd. But through the repetition of a single track, I find myself exploring the neighboring songs, and then the songs that neighbor those songs, until I’ve wound my way through the whole collection. And then the whole thing comes together as an obsession, an infection, a reminder of why I’m drawn to new music. Start with “Back In The Saddle” or “Everylyn” [sic] or any other hooky track on the record and then work your way through the rest. I’m pretty sure you’ll find yourself in love with one of the most (tragically) underrated albums of 2010."

Interview with Beau Sorenson: www.tapeop.com/articles/87/beau-sorenson/He briefly mentions recording Let It Sway. Plus the article talks about his recording techniques, influences, history, what inspires him, what it was like to work at Smart Studios, how he and Chris Walla work together, and their work together on Death Cab for Cutie's "Codes and Keys" album that came out earlier this year
