Maybe it's lack of dental hygiene is the next big trend.

i seem to ALWAYS have a cavity every time i go to the dentist. i don't know how because i think i take pretty good care of my teeth, aside from never wearing my retainer.

Just don't go to the dentist. That'll solve that problem. Friday night I drove to Springfield, MO after work. It was the first Friday of the month so they had this cool thing called Art Walk. I got to look at lot of paintings by local college artists at Randy Bacon's, and at this other place I got my picture taken behind a cardboard standee that looked like someone hugging a tree. There were people everywhere - especially the coffee shops. It was a lot of fun. Then I went to see The New Monsters Collective play at Lindberg's. Will Knauer who plays lead guitar for SSLYBY plays bass in that band, and their songwriter/keyboardist is the sister of Philip Dic-key. They're REALLY good. You should check them out. I love bands with cello in them. www.youtube.com/user/SarahPoetWilkes#grid/user/3A495B014DDA2417

last night was the opening night of the musical i am in (All Shook Up). during the last dress rehearsal, things were awful, but somehow we managed to pull everything together and it went off flawlessly! except one of the leads had an allergic reaction to her make up and was ralphing during intermission. she still continued though, what a champ.
after the show, things sort of went downhill. i was rejected from a college i was sort of really hoping to get into.

I really got back into this band lately. I love them so much One of the best band to come from my neck of the woods. They actually got popular in the early 2000s, but due to a horrible car accident, and the fact that one of the members was bipolar and got kicked out, they had to regroup. They played their last show back in December of 2008. Handslikegunsandcrashingsounds is an absolute classic album. You can find their three releases here: Handslikegunsandcrashingsounds (2001) www.mediafire.com/?jzcjw2igmojArrivals/Departures (2006) www.mediafire.com/?ljlozydnhlmGames (2008) www.mediafire.com/?b2u3zjigymgArrivals/Departures was the first release with the new line up, bringing a new sound, here is a music video of sorts for a demo that was never on an official release that was written around the same time: And here's a live song from arrivals/departures:

Woah, that's crazy.
Last Fri Apr 16 I went to Manhattan, KS for the Hallows & Horcruxes "Ball" where 8 wizard rock bands played (on Sat). My friends Matt (of the Whomping Willows) and Lauren (of the Moaning Myrtles) got engaged the first night and we had a LOST party that ended up migrating to my hotel room where the engagement-wine-toasting-giddiness descended into a FIGHT/SLAP CLUB started by the smoke monster. Saturday was a lot of jumping, screaming, dancing, and singing. Sunday I took two of the bands back to the airport and they recorded a vlog from my backseat while I drove.
Wednesday I got to go see Phoenix perform at the Uptown Theater here in KC. Then Thursday I won tickets to see Jónsi (of Sigur Rós) at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, KS. Both were incredible shows. I wish I could follow those bands around on tour. Friday I worked late to makeup for missed hours and then stayed up till 5:30am finally uploading photos (but not videos) from the last 4 months. Yesterday I slept in till 2pm and then went to my sisters and watched Avatar and Sense & Sensibility and ate all of my sister Becky's guacamole.
I feel spoiled. My sleep schedule is all messed up now.

My sleep schedule is all messed up now. Tell me about it. In college. Haven't gone to bed before about 1:30 in awhile. Yesterday, I wrote a paper. Then I was watching Black Hawk Down with my suitemates. A friend comes in and invites us to his townhouse to chill in the hot tub. At 2 AM. Came back at 4am, finished the movie. Woke up at like 10.

I've been promoted from "Senior Member" to "God". I guess I don't need to sleep anymore. My first act as God is to request SSLYBY put "Kittens With Casts" on their new album, and then book them on a whirl-wind around-the-globe tour that includes a special house party show at each of the forum members' houses.

Kittens With Casts on the new album would be the most baller thing ever.
Did not sleep tonight. After today, I have no more 8 am classes. Actually, no class before noon. Thank God.
I feel like there should be a special forum show at some point in time.

i bet they would do it too. haha. yesterday a play i wrote was entered in a competition and was a finalist. i won 6 tickets to see whatever performances i want at Syracuse Stage. Considering the upcoming shows include adaptations of "A Christmas Story" and "The 39 Steps," i am pretty excited.

Ray, hope you saw I answered you in the NEW RECORD thread. The link to buy that soccer album is now up. Last week I sent an email to Randy Bacon's/Gallery Sounds in Springfield, MO about how Harry and the Potters has tour openings in July. Today I got a cool email back from Randy Bacon's saying they're interested and asking me if I book shows for them or how to get ahold of the booking person. I forwarded their email on to the Potters You guys can do the same and try and get Harry and the Potters to come to your town! (I did Springfield because the Potters already have two shows booked in the KC area.) Here's Harry and the Potters' post about how they'd love your help finding old-school places to play at on their July tour: harryandthepotters.com/2010/04/summer-excitement-scandinavian-tour/Here's the shows they already have booked: harryandthepotters.com/shows/
