haha I have been obsessively listening to the cd for about two weeks now. Probably heard it over 100 times at the very least. For some reason today I just noticed a whistle on Back In The Saddle right after the intro and before the country sounding guitar comes in for the first time. The whistle totally resembles Fantastic Mr. Fox's signature whistle(If you have seen the movie you should know what I mean). My question...
Was that a Fantastic Mr. Fox reference? If so, thats just hilarious.
I always read this board and have wrote only a few times and I am so sorry for not adding more. I have traveled to see them in quite a few cities, have had my fair share of Phil convos, and would consider them in my top fav bands this last decade. Every CD and bsides are just timeless to me. So sorry for looking and not sharing. Will try and get better. Sarah, Ray, and few others I feel like I know you bc you guys are great fans. Keep it up and I will try and add mine as well. Going to see them with Mommyheads at Bowery Ballroom AND in Philly the following Friday. Maybe I'll meet you guys.

Aw lucky! I saw Michael Holt perform once in Springfield. He made some new SSLYMH splits and brought them with him so I could buy one.

Woo! Just did the interview today, it was about 20 minutes, 15 questions. I don't have the recording yet for our good forum contributor, Sarah Wilkes, to transcribe, but hopefully that will be a reality soon! I've never interviewed anyone before so don't knock me if it isn't up to par!!

This better be the finest piece of journalism I've ever heard or I will never post again.
Pretty pumped to hear the interview

The typed version is good, but has its limitations. I don't mind your voice at all Meghan. I think it would be really cool if the live version was up in the Tape Club and people could listen to it how it really happened. Phil restarts sentences and uses "like" a lot in this interview because he's excited and talking fast. I tried to capture what he said with as much word-for-word accuracy as possible, but that makes the typed version of the interview a bit hard to follow at times.

sarah wilkes mentioned editting the audio if you guys want to listen. so, it's up to her. i don't really care anymore about my voice being dumb. or it can just be left be as is. maybe post it in the tape club portion of the forum.
if she does edit the audio, everyone be sure to thank her! sarah did a ton of legwork writing up that transcript out of the goodness of her heart ;D

hahahahahahah the end of the interview made me laugh so hard "hold on, will and i are having a discussion" They were trying to remember someone's name that they'd forgotten And yeah, I'd love to edit the audio. I'll send that to you tonight Meghan. I noticed that I say "yeah yeah" a lot now. I picked it up from Phil.

not really nitpicking or anything, but Phil's first pronunciation of my name (emphasis on the first Ka syllable) is actually correct. hahahaha. Meghan, I don't know why you're bothered by your voice. You sound good. but then again, I think everyone has an issue with hearing one's own voice recorded.

not really nitpicking or anything, but Phil's first pronunciation of my name (emphasis on the first Ka syllable) is actually correct. hahahaha. You've listened to the audio? So the way Phil pronounces it is right? Awesome. Now I know how to pronounce it the right way I'll beg Meghan to put an editor's note in the transcript for me. And sarahelephant, to be able to listen and not download it needs to be hosted on a website. Meghan will have it up when she gets the chance so you can do that then. In the meantime, anyone know where I could host the audio for free? It's 30 minutes long and 28MB.
