kck.st/anjMC1That’s the link. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin really needs it. Their old van has kicked the bucket and they’ve been renting vehicles, which doesn’t really work for a full-time band especially since they’ve got two one-month long tours coming up. The fundraiser ends at 1pm Eastern U.S. time on Aug 30th because the first month-long tour starts on Aug 31st. They’re offering rewards too… Pledge $5 or more: Digital download of 2 Let It Sway outtakes + song by SSLYBY side project New Monsters Collective (Phil’s sister’s band. Will plays bass. Jonathan recorded their EP) Pledge $10 or more: All of the above + Let It Sway album download + 3 more Let It Sway outtakes Pledge $20 or more: All of the above + CD of your choice (Broom, Pershing, or Let It Sway) + Personalized thank you note Pledge $50 or more: All of the above + Choose any CD or LP signed & personalized to you + 4” x 6” black and white original picture of SSLYBY signed by all of us + stickers & buttons Pledge $75 or more: All of the above + brand new SSLYBY T-Shirt design Pledge $100 or more: All of the above + 2 guest list spots to any future show of your choice (not including festivals) + one-of-a-kind 5” x 7” framed photograph taken and signed by Phil Pledge $150 or more: All of the above + Limited edition Let It Sway tour poster hand screened and signed by all of us (Designed by Daniel Zender — danielzender.com) Pledge $250 or more: All of the above + Original wax-on-canvas painting by Will. Each painting will be unique and signed. P.S. It's a bit more for international shipping if you get something that has to be mailed outside of the U.S.

When I get my next paycheck, a portion of it will go to da van fund. I should really save money. But I love SSLYBY.

I want to donate (if only for the rewards) - but they can't actually use that van to fly over to the Philippines, so hmm.

I wish I had a $100, but instead of all the outtakes, downloads, CD, t-shirt, photos, signatures, and guest list spots, I'd try to talk them into giving me just one thing: Will's wax painting with the evergreens with a moon and fireworks overhead. I love that painting. www.iamwarmandpowerful.com/bandart.html#

Hmmm, I'm seriously considering pledging, but I'll probably do it next month. Will have to work on more on my side job, so I wouldn't do much damage to my actual savings.

I donated 20 bucks and half of that is from my dad b/c Phil makes a point to say hi to my dad in emails and stuff. I might go back and add more but I think that that is a good contribution.

I image they're going to have to use some of that money to ship people their stuff. And does Polyvinyl just give them a bunch of merch for free or do they pay Polyvinyl a minimal amount for it? 'Cause there's the wholesale cost of the merch they're giving away...or at the very least the money they would have eventually made off that merch in Sept while on tour. So I really hope they raise way over the $3800. P.S. I donated $10 and then sent a friend $25, and got my friend to up their donation in exchange for giving me Phil's photography! Yay! I really wanted to give a lot more but I owe Missouri $200 in back taxes that I've not figured out how to pay yet. Anyone want to buy my couch? P.P.S. OR...I've got some lightly-used but clean SSLYBY shirts in small and extra-small I could sell to some of you using Paypal. I'm a size 4 in juniors and they all fit me great. Minus the costs of shipping I'll donate the rest of the money to the band's van fund and I'll tell them not to send me anything more than what they're sending me for the $10 I've already donated. I've got: Kitten in a Box grey t-shirt w/ green ink...$9 plus shipping(Heavyweight thickness/boy-fit shirt, in good condition. I think it's a boy's youth XL. It fits like a man's x-small so it's not as long as most women's shirts. Not American Apparel.) Stumpy Gets Axed grey t-shirt w/ red ink...$6 plus shipping(Light-weight/unisex shirt, in good condition. Soft and comfy American Apparel shirt in good condition, but sadly it came from Polyvinyl with some of the ink near the bottom of the stump faded and I didn't bother to return it since it was one of the last ones at the time. So I'm knocking the price way down. I think it's a unisex small, but since it's American Apparel it's a bit skinnier and longer than regular unisex shirts. It's a bit more like an extra-small.) Elephant/Pachyderm baby blue shirt w/ dark blue ink...$10 plus shipping(Regular thickness/unisex shirt, in very good condition. It fits like a roomy junior's small. I don't think it's American Apparel.) Elephant/Pachyderm very light blue shirt w/ red handscreened ink...$10 plus shipping(Lightweight thickness/unisex shirt in very good condition, except the handscreen has faded a bit as they're inclined to do. I think it's American Apparel. It's nice and soft. Unisex but similar to a junior's regular small. Nice length.) Pangea hooded red sweatshirt with white ink...$20 plus shipping(Nice and thick and very cozy. This is my favorite hooded sweatshirt. It's unisex but it's been washed/dryed so it's similar now to a junior's small. If you're bigger than a junior's size 4 or 6 it's probably going to be a tiny bit too small for you. In very good condition.)

I think we all should just be considered band members now.

We get a shout out on the album, and pretty much all of us are donating some cash money to them. We're basically founding members at this point.

In the end I used my birthday money to up my donation instead of using the money to get my cracked windshield fixed. I don't think my parents are going to be very happy. Haha. Oh well. Final total was $5071! They got their van last Thursday. This makes me SO happy. Know what else makes me happy? They dropped everything off yesterday at Polyvinyl headquarters for it to be shipped out. Meghan, I want to see a picture of that painting when it arrives! Here's pictures of their new van and of them signing thank you notes /posts P.S. I'm in heaven right now. Just got my download with the demos in it. Back In The Saddle, In Pairs, All Hail Dracula, Everlyn, and Phantomwise. Also it included Gotta Getta Record Out (Green Cover), plus Final Exam by The New Monsters Collective.
