i haven't heard an actually good new band in so long. it seems like everything after 2007 is completely awful. i'm really sick of bands like wavves and beach house. they're a dime a dozen these days.

I haven't heard Wavves and Beach House so I don't know if any of these are different enough that you would like them, but this is what I've been listening to the last few years that's stuck with me: Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Codes and Keys - Death Cab for Cutie, "The Merry Barracks" - Deerhoof, Wondervisions - Delicate Steve, Eisley, Free Energy, Death of a Decade - Ha Ha Tonka, Record In A Bag - Hollerado, Arrows - The Lonely Forest (I listen to this album every day), Massachusetts 2010 - Mathieu Santos (just bought this so we'll see if it sticks with me), Mumford & Sons, New Monsters Collective (new album out Aug 26), Of the Blue Colour of the Sky - Ok Go, It's Never Been Like That and Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - Phoenix, Ra Ra Riot, The Republic Tigers, Dye It Blonde - Smith Westerns, Tokyo Police Club (I only have their Daytrotter session), Two Door Cinema Club (I only have their Daytrotter session), Vampire Weekend, Via Audio, Yellow Ostrich (love this band).

SAVES THE DAY "DAYBREAK" That is all. Haha. Awesome. Last couple weeks I've been listening to Jeremy Larson and Ski Lift a lot. Both have Springfield, MO ties. Jonathan James did the mastering for the Ski Lift EP that just came out. They might be too quiet for you, but I like them.

Jonathan James did the mastering for the Ski Lift EP that just came out. They might be too quiet for you, but I like them. I'll check those out too! Miniature Tigers' new song "Boomerang" is my new favorite song. Excited for whenever that album comes out. I've also been listening to Cameron McGill & What Army-more specifically the songs "Counterfeit" and "I Don't Believe In Magic (but all my friends just disappeared)" (that second title might be half correct.) They sound kind of...I don't know how to describe things-southerny, but not? Limbeck-y? Okay, they sound nice. Well, those two songs anyway because that's all I can get through due to my obsession with them.
