today i watched the Pershing video for the first time in probably a year and it made me realize how much sslyby meant to me back in 2008 and 2009. they are still my favorite band, but MAN was i into them back then. i thought i'd post the video so you guys can have a blast from the past as well.

I remember watching this over and over again to listen to all the songs in the background. Especially the part where Phil jumps at like 0:30 seconds.
Thanks for this dude. Good memories.

i remember when i accumulated over 300 plays of broom in my itunes my first 2 years at college, not including the times i was listening to it on my ipod. ugh that album just slams me with so much nostalgia and happiness and a sprinkle of sadness. also, i was way too into SSLYBY when i first listened to them too, ray. my twenties have really mellowed me out.

Hahaha yeah i used to be obsessively into them too.
But I still am. They're just the best band in the entire universe.

Not only is their music just so undeniably catchy and wonderful, they way they interact with their fans is awesome. They're just so freakin' nice absolutely. I miss going to sslyby and haha tonka shows. i don't know if it's missouri or what, but both groups have excellent pr skills with fans. they're music is catchy and i find it to also be very down-to-earth and genuine. it's been almost six years and not a single song or album has grown tiresome to listen to!

I want to "like" all your posts. SSLYBY is still my favorite band after almost 5 years. Haven't gotten to see them perform at all this year because they've not done any shows in Lawrence or KC, and my neuropathy spread in mid-March and late Sept so the 4.5 hours to Springfield is too far for me to ride in a car right now. I hear they have new songs and are doing some at their show down there this week. That makes me really happy.
