I have been getting into music i liked when i was a freshmen in high school (bright eyes and crappy hardcore music and the shins) I miss it so much weird, I just started listening to the shins which I haven't done in a while. the song pink bullets is on my now listening to playlist but I don't think I'll ever get into bright eyes again though. too many angst ridden 7th grade memoriez for me (ie: posting the lyrics of lover i don't have to love on my AIM profile)

Listening to Mr. Blue Sky by ELO. Some of my friends did a video to it when they were on tour in July. Also checking out Roadrunner by The Modern Lovers.

I just listened to the CD twin cinema by the new pornographers which I hadn't played in a while. I really like them, they were SO GOOD live when I saw them at langerado 2 years ago.

maybe because it was after their most recent record, which is slightly boring? when I saw them the only had 3 albums out at that point and it was the last slot at a music festival but everyone else was at widespread panic so I was in the front row. I also got the set list and spoke to a few of them really briefly which ruled

I'm listening to this kid Topher Brown. He's from Iowa and Columbia, MO and lives now in Nashville. His style is indie pop/folk and it's good stuff. I'm downloading his EP from iTunes right now. He also released an album in 2005 under the name Chris Brown before he had to change his name to avoid confusion with another artist. www.myspace.com/toferbrown

I've been listening to a whole bunch of stuff. I've lately been asking people for a letter, selecting all the bands starting with the letter in my iTunes library, hitting shuffle, taking the first song, and using Genius to generate a play list.

Modest Mouse's Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks EP
Which is consistently my favorite release by MM.
I wish they would go back to a three-piece.
Instead of a 42 piece.

hmmmm while thats a good EP, my favorite modest mouse is The Lonesome Crowded West. probably just because I heard it first since my parents love the song Trailer Trash. I agree though, it is time to make some band cuts pronto

my favorite modest mouse is The Lonesome Crowded West. its my favorite too although I don't agree on them going back to the three piece. I like their new stuff just as much as their old stuff. if bands don't change their sound it ends up all the same stuff over and over. that's what happened to RHCP

I do like their newer stuff as well. it pisses me off when people don't like good news just because float on got popular. good news is my second favorite album by them, who cares that they were successful? that is one of the bothersome things about so called indie music.

Yes, GNFPWLBN is great!
I don't really like the new album. It just seems too.....overdone. Or something. I didn't think it was that great.
And I still don't understand why johnny marr is in the band.

Went and saw Herman Düne and Jolie Holland the other week. So have been listening to their stuff again and again since. Also, that new I'm From Barcelona album I mentioned before I still have playing constantly. (Especially this song is all catchy and in my head: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlXJljEY8c0) Also, given Tsui's Half Man Army another turn on the playlist since it's good stuff. And seeing that Will Stratton looks to have a new album out next Sping, I've been relistening to his first album and the B-sides stuff.
