Yes, GNFPWLBN is great! I don't really like the new album. It just seems too.....overdone. Or something. I didn't think it was that great. And I still don't understand why johnny marr is in the band. I agree with you on both those statements... maybe johnny marr is in the band because theyre all kickin it in portland and hes bored or something. why he chose modest mouse is beyond me... I didn't really dig the new album much either speaking of portland, I'm going there for a few weeks this summer and I better run into some member of modest mouse or stephen malkmus or janet weiss or someone. I think that city might be the good music capital USA, if anyone could confirm/deny.

I've been listening to The Shins a ton lately. They're just so likable! I've also been listening to the Wicked Original Broadway Musical Soundtrack a ton. Heh.

Well, I'm doing a mix of music having been given a bunch of stuff/finding new during the trip.
At the moment, I'm listening to Antennas Up.
I've also been listening to Phoenix, Company of Thieves, and Seth Truett (the CD mentions nothing of the Traitors). I'm also listening to some Jumbling Towers. I'm also listening to The Scribbles and We Voyagers when re-watching those videos, but I don't have MP3s of those.

Sun's out, that means it's pershing time.
Also, I've been listening to The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Yes, I know, ridiculous name + the fact that pitchfork has been vomiting all over them with praise.
It's not as good as they say it is, but it's catchy twee stuff. Great for driving around with the windows down (or not, depending on how you feel about your masculinity)

I started listening to them bc of stereogum and now feel kinda betrayed since they are BNM material but they are good nonetheless. not as good as p4k says though

Indeed. I'm never cool enough to listen to it when it first gets hyped. I probably need to straighten my hurr and get multicolored nike dunks before that. Also, what's the deal with nike dunks with neon color palettes? Also, they gotta be highs to be hip. I really don't like high shoes. Also, also: www.myspace.com/moonraker I highly suggest any of their cds. You can get them on cdbaby.com

I really don't like high shoes. i'm not hip enough either since (judging from my lastfm charts) I just fill the void between pavement songs with elliott smith and jenny lewis stuff, all of which I've been listening to since eighth grade. sslyby are the only 'new' band I've been consistently listening to, but obviously they transcend the 'blawg hype' and stuff like that. ANYWAY THE POINT WAS CONVERSE HI-TOPS BRO

Converse anything really.
I've been listening to a lot of HaHaTonka. I think I listen to "Falling In" ten times in a row at least once day. I've also been listening to Republic Tigers. They're based out of Kansas City, but all I have is their Daytrotter tracks.

Johnny Marr finally left. I hope they will return to a power trio at one point. Just for a little bit.

I've been on a twee pop tangent lately.
I think it's mostly because of the weather. Nice and sunny.

after seeing them in March, I don't think I've stopped listening to YACHT. I don't think I've stopped wanting to dance either and I don't even like dancing.

It's ridiculously snowy in Ontario right now, and Bon Iver's album and EP suit it fantastically. I'm also digging Plants and Animals debut album.
