Haha, I was just talking to Will and Phil after the show, helped them clean up a bit. I've hung out with them in the past and Phil had said (since it was an early night) "Hang on for a bit and we'll see what's going on." Well, I think it was someone from Ha Ha Tonka had suggested Dark Knight and looked it up and everyone agreed on it there was a good group of the 3 bands and some friends that hit up the theater. that is indeed really awesome. i dont feel so bad about missing out, since you've hung out with them before, and i am a lot younger than you, it could have been a tiny bit awkward.

Meghan! The shows you went to sound so awesome! That's so terrible about Phil getting beat up....by 15 teen year olds?!! That's crazy and horrible. I hope to someday meet you at a sslyby show because I am mostly mid-west and well my friend Laurel & I are always the only ones dancing......if that's what you wanna call it. Either way, I'm happy their shows were so fun and you got to tell us about them! I hope to pick up one of your books soon! hoooooooooray!

Man I wish I coulda gone to the columbus show! but I'm on vacation with my family right now. F! Meghan we should meet up. I think our dancing skillz would align and create some sort of wonderful rainbow and then a ZZZZZZZZINGGG-ing sound would emanate and make people laugh or something....oh yah and it would be fun.

I usually dance at shows a lot, but have felt a bit hold-offish (is that a word?) at SSLYBY shows for some reason. There's a show in central Missouri next month. I swear I'll get over myself and my desire to not look to fan-girlish and dance a lot!! Heck, I might even be persuaded to go onstage at the end... *wonders where I can get a cool tamborine like Meghan's* Oh, and if anyone is in Kansas next week, Harry and the Potters perform Tuesday July 29th. Just look for the girl running the outer space photo "booth" before the show. Yeah, it was partially inspired by that poster inside Pershing. I've got space guns and astronaut helmets too. Not as cool as the ones in the drawing, but still...

I sorta feel weird that I didn't get to hear John Robert sing, and I feel bad that he got upset about it. I really hope that I get to see them again soon so I can see John Robert sing too, not just Phil, haha. =)

I just feel like I didn't get to see him in all of his glory. He was super nice though, even if he was a little tipsy, haha, but at least he knew he was.
He said next time they come around he will make sure that they can play all of the songs that I didn't get to hear, so that will be good.

crazycstudios : i am pretty positive that i saw you at the columbus show. were you talking to will, sort of standing next to the bar, before the show started? if your avatar slightly resembles you in real life, then i saw you. i think you were standing right next to me and my friend during the show too.

That does sound like me. I did some dancing and stuff. Yelled out "MC Migrane Head". Had on my typical "Catbird Records" shirt. If any of that helps verify suspicion.

Ah, okay. I think I have an idea of who you are then. Were you and your friend the ones with the Polaroid camera?

Awesome! I'll put that as a "half" in the "Board Members I've met" list since we didn't actually meet. But we saw each other.

Next time, then. Hell, from the sounds of it, a bunch of people will try and go to the next Columbus show. There's a party to be had.

That would be so awesome if there was a show where all the board members could attend. =)
And Phil just emailed me back and linked me an article that he just wrote for the Springfield paper, since that's what I want to do.

someone was filming the entire show and its going to be posted on their site so i will definitely update with that. especially since they filmed me climbing on top of an amp in a gogo dress and leather boots dancing with a tambourine during oceanographer. www.baeblemusic.com/Concerts/AsburyLanes/SomeoneStillLovesYouBorisYeltsinWay to rock the dollar store tambourine!
