hey kids n cats, i forgot to ask nick if it was cool to make this public, but i'm going to do it anyway. i have been planning a mutiny with my web-designing friend, Alex Quinn this past month to conquer iamwarmandpowerful.com but in all seriousness, nick was gracious enough to give me a hand at the reigns. i have some good ideas ready to pump into the website along with a new makeover. i believe we are going with an outerspace underwater theme. i'm aiming to make the site more aesthetically pleasing with the up-to-date basic tools: like video, photo, lyrics, merchandise, news. our first project will be Tape Club where all registered forum users (compliments to ray for suggesting it to be only available to registered people) can obtain a collection of mp3s that are not for sale. because the forum is a bit messy to keep track of things, i ask not to tell me which mp3s i need to put up, etc. i will update this post with a list of songs i have. then you can email me at meghanbaier@gmail.com with your files. i will not post anything connected to daytrotter however. i'll make a note of it in tape club and in the external links to visit daytrotter for their selection. i hadn't decided whether Alex and I will work on it for a few weeks then update it completely in one night or gradually change the website so you will see slight changes. However, I am going to run all the concepts and sketches through Nick first. Nick's still part of the show. We're more like partners...partners as in he's the fat, lazy husband who watches TV all day while I'm cleaning the house, making sandwiches, and picking up the kids from soccer. If you have ANY cool photos (yours or others with permission) you would like to put up, send it, mate. I would also appreciate Pershing tabs. And if anyone has some nifty additions they would like to propose, don't be afraid to shoot me an e-mail. I want iamwarmandpowerful to be a one-stop site for any fan. And after attending their practically sold-out D.C. show of 200 or so people, there's going to be a lot more website traffic within the year. -meg p.s. sslyby made it in blender's top 33 most wanted songs in america for the second month in the row. woo!

alright, so alex and i just had our first meeting. we finished about 75% of the news page. unfortunately the news page is probably one of the easiest pages. he estimated the site's completion by the end of august/ beginning of september. we're both trying to balance the website construction with our full-time jobs, so it may be a while.
the site is going to be mostly illustrations, which is a unique approach to band sites (which usually just have flashy graphic design). i feel fun drawings fit the persona of the boris guys as opposed to clean cut lines and cinematic photos. i'm trying to keep everything hush hush so you will all be in for a good surprise by the end of the summer, so i won't divulge in any of the details as to what my friend and i are drawing.
so yea, i will keep this page posted on our progress. we're going to do some individual work and meetup again wednesday night.

okay alex and i just had our second meeting. we hung around a basement from 7 til 2 a.m. finalizing the news page and 'enter site' page. a great sketch for a future page was also conceived tonight. it involves a two seated bicycle and a basket. i believe we're going to start formatting the merch page this week and hopefully get that squared away for later in the month when we insert the polyvinyl stock and that new site they recently advertised on their myspace.
phil also recommended i contact will about possibly posting some of his art up on the site, so i pitched him an email to see if he would be interested, so we'll see what comes of that as well.

ok, so alex and i hit a little setback at our last meeting. we had to redo the news page and didn't get as far as i wanted to on the merchandise page. but in other news, i finally peeked around the actual domain with 0% webdesign knowledge and managed to make a few small fixes. just made changes the contacts and finally put up the pershing lyrics and updated the touring info. but yea, so, if anyone wants to submit lyrics to the other stuff, i'll happily put it up. i'll try writing my own if no one submits any, but it will take a lot longer i'll also try to get the video page updated soon.

i...uh...changed up the forum a little bit to give everyone a tiny preview of the site's theme. i should be finished with the artwork very very soon and then we'll just need to wait on my friend alex for all of the html coding. i really am aiming to get this at least done before the end of fall.
also, let me know if anyone grotesquely hates the new forum layout

The "The official Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin forum :: Off Topic :: General Chat :: iamwarmandpowerful.com update" text is a little hard to read, but other than that, gewd.
