Today, I haven't done much yet. (After sleep, I'll fart around and make Friday's comic.)
Yesterday (Wednesday the 11th) was Jurassic Park Day. For 24-hours, I had Jurassic Park playing on my DVD player in the background for the 15th anniversary of it's release in theaters. I'm really weird sometimes.
I also applied for some jobs.

Today I woke up late b/c I saw a movie last night and did not get home and in bed until after 2. I saw sex and the city, which was terrible, I think I'm the only chick who did not like that movie. But, when I got home I found out that I got an A on my test (which I had been studying for all week long), so that made my night!

I was forced to see that movie last night as well and I can assure you that you are not the only chick who didn't like it. that movie was one of the dumbest I have seen in my entire life, completley drawn out, plotless, vacuous and plain stupid. the only times I laughed were when I laughed AT the movies complete absurdity/dumbness.
today I went running in the morning and I'm going to the beach right now.

Well technically I was in Springfield, Missouri today. We left just shortly after midnight. I'll post over in the live show thread.

Had another interview with the IT department today, that was good.
Came home to a busted in front door and some of our stuff stolen, including our laptops. That's bad.
I am studying computer science in school so I own a lot of expensive software programs and a million hours of music and audio books which I use to keep myself from going crazy at work. Gone.
Got to meet cute guy who lives next door. That's good.
Met him because he was also broken into. That's bad.
The robbers left behind some trash (stuff from Ace Hardware, crumpled up brown bag, etc) on my bed, I assume because they were too lazy to take it with them. I'm disgusted. Fortunately the police took the junk away.

that sucks a lot. There is a comic that has always scared me about getting robbed, its actually a calvin and hobbes comic.
I hope i never get robbed.

I think I know the one youre talking about, its the most sad and depressing calvin and hobbes ever. and hes worried that theey stole hobbes or something? I have a bunch of the songs that I downloaded on this website but I'm not sure how to do the whole download link. someone posted this link a while ago with some old stuff on it, i'm not sure if its any help: hannahrama.com/SSLYBY/

That is not what you want to come home to. That really sucks. Since it sounds like a lot of people got hit, hopefully one of them has a GPS theft protection thing or if a mac was stolen, the program that allows remote access and the ability to use the built-in camera to take pictures. Anything to help catch the bastards that did this.

Haha, that's exactly what I thought this morning: "Wish I had a Mac so I could remote activate the camera."

yesterday when I was in boston I heard "glue girls" while in the gap. I just froze and yelled at my friend saying that sslyby was playing (I had sent her a bunch of their songs). hearing them felt like [what I would imagine] seeing a child walk or something really monumental of that sort, it was epic.

hahaha that sounds crazy.
Today I played in my first two lacrosse games since middle school. I stopped playing my freshman year and i just started again (I just ended my sophomore year). I think I did alright considering I haven't played for two years.

oh man I had the worst dream.. for some reason I ran into sslyby in miami at this ice cream place even though they weren't (and aren't) playing here. except for some reason it was just john cardwell and the singer from another band, harlem shakes, and I went up to them and said hi. except then my brother came and we started fighting (hes a year younger than me, we fight quite a bit) and they hated me because we were really rude or something. it felt so realistic though, it was awful. I woke up totally freaked out and now I'm even more nervous about (potentially) meeting them.

no way, jolie, once you meet phil, he'll make you feel right at home! like the second time i went to go see them, i thought i was long forgotten. but the second i walked into the bookshop he was all like "meghannn, you came!!" i find john to be a bit harder to talk to, but that's due to other various stupid things i've done.
as for today, wow um i woke up in harlem, nyc then ventured to chinatown for a wonderful brunch, hit midtown up for the festive pride parade (so much festive) then hopped back on a subway to greenwich village (more festive) and ate some gourmet cupcakes. then it decided to pour rain and ruin my sketchbook, went to some cool comic book, clothing, and smoothie shops, then headed home to nj damp from rain and looking to shower off yesterday's epic harry and the potters/uncle monsterface/ math the band concert remnants.

new york sounds so rad... almost 2 weeks until we see them live! and phil was always ridiculously nice in emails, if anything we can just talk about nirvana. i'm thinking i'll just call the number on the website like the day before and see if they want to meet for ice cream or pizza or whatever. if youre in the city that day we should arrange something before and you should come with. also that unlimited enthusiasm explo looked like so much fun. they didn't come to miami though

Yeah, the closest Harry and the Potters/Unlimited Enthusiasm gets to Miami are their Florida shows from July 3-5 when they'll be in Gainesville, Tampa, and Orlando. wiki.unlimitedenthusiasm.com/pmwiki.php?n=Main.UEE08EventsToday I ran around all day at work fixing printer and computer problems. It was super hectic as a whole area of the building their computer kept losing access to their P:\ drives On the way home from work I stopped at the party store and found a cool outer space backdrop to use for when Harry and the Potters come to Lawrence, Kansas on July 29th! People are going to be able to get pictures with their friends and the bands in front of it. Yay!! Then I pick my sister up from the car rental place, listened to my friend Lena squee on the phone for about 15 minutes because she goes to visit her out-of-state boyfriend in his hometown for the first time tomorrow. Then I did a lot of jumping and yelling as I watched videos from the Unlimited Enthusiasm Expo shows in New York over the weekend.

Today my friend and I went to get burritos, then smoothies, then went over to my friends house to play Wii.
Pretty fun day.
