I went to a funeral for this girl that went to my elementary school who died scuba diving (I hadnt seen her in a few years and we weren't that close but it was still said) and went swimming with all of my friends at this giant pool. then i biked to physical therapy, ate mexican food for dinner and then walked over to my neighbor's house. now i'm packing for california. i'm flying into LA to stay with friends and then going camping in big sur for a week so i'll get my sslyby news fix when I return.

I've managed to hold off on saying anything relating the irony of "Biking to physical therapy" (given that there's a number of ways it's not irony with additional information), but to follow up a funeral for a scuba death by going swimming... that's impressive.
I went to the library, then came home. Decided I didn't feel like being home, so I rode my bike to the park. There I read a book, almost feel asleep, was awoken by a child wanting someone to play with, then other kids showed up for him to play with so I went back to another book. Then rode room to have dinner. Now I'm thinking of ending the night with a DVD and pizza.

i just got back from a sold out we are scientists concert in nyc. bloody brilliant show, i've never seen or met them before. keith enlightened me of the dark side of the spinto band. he told me thomas strangled squirrels (one in each hand) with malicious intent. i was shocked. it was nice meeting them though. been meaning to do that for well over a year.
i have work today. awesome. [/sarcam]

I was at the NYC We Are Scientists show too Meghan! Keith is so nice. I wanted to kidnap and take him with me. Super adorable Ah today I had the day off and did much of nothing. I sent out a freakish amount of text messages, searched for a mannequin for my new art project, and had lunch. Now I'm going to hang around for a bit, find my vintage dolly pops, and then meet my friend Tyler in the city. We're visiting my friend Brian at his new studio job and then heading to Fat Baby to see my friend's band Wyldlife play. Yeaaa!

Yeaaa! oh sweet maybe i saw you there. i wasn't wearing anything too memorable so i might've blended in, but i was up front dancing a ridiculous ton. some kids behind me were talking about how awesome someone still loves you boris yeltsin is and i was like "uh, YA"

Today was pretty amazing. 12:55pm my boss told me that in five minutes he would be interviewing me for the programmer job I applied for seven weeks ago - the same week I'd interviewed for my current position (IT Assistant) in their department. There wasn't much time to get nervous with only five minutes' notice. The interview went well and I told them not to hire me unless I was the best person for the job We'll see what happens. I've had plenty of full-time hourly jobs and plenty of short-term contracted salary jobs - just none that were full-time regular salaried. Basically it means they can work you up to 50 hours/week with no overtime pay Still, the benefits would be better and I'd be paid A LOT more supposedly. Which is a good thing because I just signed the lease on a new apartment and I'm double-paying on August rent. *sigh* And I'm going to Chicago this weekend where I'll be paying $50/night to sleep on the floor of a hotel room that five us of are sleeping in. My new apartment is a tiny studio apartment in downtown Lee's Summit, Missouri above a sporting goods store. (Yeah, I've gone to the dark side and will be living in Missouri.) When I say tiny, I mean it. My kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining room is one room. And I have a half-fridge and the tiniest little gas stove you've ever seen. Downtown is really cute. Too bad parking is only two hours at a time during the day and there are no laundromats anywhere and I have one of those open mailboxes with no locks on it. I'm going to be roughing it. Yeah, so when I got to my new apartment I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they'd recaulked the tub so it's all pretty and white now instead of black and moldy-looking. Now my place doesn't feel so ghetto. I left my new place really happy, stopping on the street corner to call a ton of my friends who are in Chicago already. And as I crouched on the sidewalk writing down a phone number, someone in a car whistled at me. Oh, and I have dinner date in about an hour that I've not gotten ready for. Very weird day.

Wow, you had a good day. I hope you get that job! Today I had a good day at my internship, I'm taking off tommorow to road trip it up to San Fransisco!! Then I went to the mall, which I hate doing, but I got what I needed and got the hell out of there. And packing tonight. Oh, and who here has been to st. louis? I'm thinking about applying to a graduate program there and have never been before, and don't know anyone else who has. Any info would be helpful.I ask that 'cause it seems like everyone is from the midwest, eastcoast here.
