DuPree girls in SSLYBY's new video

Mute Math's video guy, Israel Anthem, is directing the new SSLYBY video; I'm 99% sure it's for "Glue Girls". Since Israel has connections with the band Eisley, he got Sherri and Stacy (and possibly Christie) DuPree to play parts in the video.

I've been listening to Eisley almost as long as I've been listening to Yeltsin, so I'm crazy excited about this. My best friend heard about it from Phil last month, then told me and swore me to secrecy, but now the beans have been spilled. Stacy had this to say about the video:

We are going to appear in the video as "Nice/NOT so nice" girls...

Her sister Sherri added the following:

Our friend Israel Anthem was shooting a video for a super cool band called "Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin", and asked my two sisters and I, to be in it as the girlfriends who are scorned lovers who beat up the guys in the band who play our boyfriends. It was possibly one of the funnest things ever.

They were working on it this week--they might already be done, or possibly still filming in Nashville, and if that's the case I'm seriously tempted to drive up there tomorrow and try to run into them at Cafe Coco or something. EDIT: They're finished. Will broke his hand (clearly he did his own stunts) and they went straight home after the last take.

Sherri has posted some pictures from the set here. No sign of the Yeltsin men so far, but hopefully more behind-the-scenes tidbits will surface. Whatever happens, it's gonna be pretty much the most attractive video ever because good God, those girls are hot.

I think if it was top secret, you should have kept a lid on it. It is unlikely that any of us would have read such an obscure blog. The best part about SSLYBY is that sometimes they share their secrets. Would hate to see that dry up.

Several thousand Eisley fans knowing about it is hardly what I'd call top secret. It only seemed fair that SSLYBY fans be as in the loop about a SSLYBY video as Eisley fans who don't even know who SSLYBY is. Like I said, I waited until someone else mentioned it in a public way before I talked about it here. I actually sent Phil the link to those photos last night, because he hadn't seen them yet.

I guess this will teach me to share something awesome with fellow fans.

For those who actually want to know, Will broke his hand while they were tearing down the indoor set with the mountain and sky backdrop. Apparently John Robert picked up a rock and intended to bash part of the set with it, but bashed Will's hand instead. They say he'll be fine in time for the spring tour.
