i was talking to Phil via text message so i asked him when we should expect a new album. he replied saying "not exactly sure yet. probably in late summer/early fall. i think it will be the best one."
this excites me.
so then i asked him if it would be more like broom or pershing or something different. he said he doesn't know what'll be like in comparison, their biggest goal is to just write some better songs.
even more excitement
so THEN i say they should put kittens with casts on the album because that is an incredible song. his reply: "yeah, jj and i were talkin about that the other day. we just have to convince john (he wrote it)."
i'm excited.

Yes, it's a great song! "Affects the axons. Should we put a tax on the thoughts in my head..." "Breakin' your fridge in at 4 in the morning..." "I thought no one was looking..." Love those lyrics. And the melody is very catchy as well. Ooo, I hope it's on there, because you know what that means? They'll end up playing it at shows a lot Maybe that's why John needs convincing. He knows he'll have to perform it if it ends up on the CD.

Just so people know - The Springfield Cardinals song seen/heard in the Park Central Library videos will most likely NOT be on the third album as the song is too locally based and they're hoping it will get picked up by the team (in which case the rights to it would change somewhat). Chances are it won't get played at (m)any shows outside of Springfield, but that's something we'll have to wait and see.
And if that's the case, well, we'll just need to form some more Springfield trips.
