:/ if you have a myspace, you should try bugging them there. right now they're on tour so it's like impossible for them to reply to everyone. but like, after a set of tours you should see if they're online on myspace and message them right when it says they're currently online. that usually does the trick for a reply (but not always) HOWEVER, they DO read the messages. a lot of my messages get ignored and then i see phil and he's like, "sorry i didnt respond to your message blah blah blah"
today i'm going to work, not a fun and exciting day

Good strategy. Phil's responded to every MySpace message I've ever sent him...that he's read. (I love how you can tell on MySpace when something's been read.) All he's got on tour as far as I can tell is that PDA phone of his, and using the Internet on those things can be painfully slow. I imagine in the backlog of messages that things get buried and sometimes accidentally deleted.
Today I'm off to sing in choir and then go work in the church library.

today... is my first time posting here. and i've done nothing but bake brownies and mentally prepare myself to do my french project.
but YESTERDAY, i went to a bonfire and was looking through my friends ipod and was delighted to see he had SSLYBY. he only had 3 songs (Pangea, Oregon Girl, Anne Elephant) but still, it made me happy hah

goddang Jersey. Oh, sorry, some residual Jersey mocking from my rooming with a Jerseyite for a few years. I like the poster though. Good old Don Hertzfeldt. I can't wait until "i am so proud of you" comes out.
Today, I haven't done much. A few days ago, however, might make for a more interesting post: Woke up early, drove 6 hours to Chicago. Did an interview with an employment agency. Got stuck in Chicago traffic. Made it to Grand Rapids to go drinking with some friends. While at the bar, someone played the entire Broom album.
Follow up to that: Drunkenly texted Phil about it. The next morning he responded that they had camped that night in the middle of Idaho.

Saw that Midnight showing. I liked it. I got some laughs others in the theater didn't because I'm an archaeologist. Keep in mind that the feel of the movie is suppose to be more like a 1950's film than a 1930's serial like the originals.

Spent most of the day trying to write Monday's comic. I just can't punch it. So I took a break and watched the Red Wings win. Now to stay up late to get this comic started so I have time in the evening to see the Islands.

Slept in till noon...the first time I've gotten more than 4-6 hours of sleep in a night since April. My body likes me again. Woken by text message from my friend Lena who's on a tour and had just arrived in Florida. Had really yummy gluten-free chicken nuggets for dinner. Spent most of the day catching up on my transcription work for the podcast I help with. Spent the last few hours when I should be sleeping, fixing the color and lighting and stuff on all the digital photos I took last weekend at Wrockstock. Can't wait to get them and all my videos uploaded, but it may take me a couple weeks considering how slow YouTube uploads.

today is the first official day of summer so I'm going to try to do as little as possible. I'm reading big trouble by dave barry, going to cross country practice and looking up pictures of stephen malkmus on the internet. also I'm going to see nada surf for my mom's birthday tonight.

* Played with the timer on my digital camera for the first time and took pictures of myself in "super hero" poses. * Had yummy red potatoes for dinner * Did a little light reading about quantum physics. You know, for fun? * Split the time-space continuum and moved backward in time faster than the speed of light.

Our desks at work are totally inadequate, but we and our company can't do anything about it because we're just contractors working in the same facility as our client. Ho hum. So my neck and back hurt all the time. I could hardly move today, so I forked out the $5 in gas and the chiropractor's fee to go get my back popped back into place. Probably shouldn't be on the computer right now I'm sitting back in bed though, so I hope that makes it okay. Just had to post how, despite the back pain, I am sooooo excited to be attending my second ever full-SSLYBY concert on Sunday. In fact, it's that upcoming show that finally pushed me to go see the chiropractor today. I can't dance around and enjoy the show if my back is killing. No, that just wouldn't do.

thats so exciting about the concert, have fun! i keep counting down the days until I see them in new york.
today my dad woke me and my brother up at 4 in the morning to take us to the everglades to watch the sun rise. we drove for a while and then parked on the side of the road "broke in" to a state park. he forgot bug spray though so we were miserable and the bugs mauled us. the only wildlife we saw were grasshoppers and a dead turtle. I was really cranky and tired because I went to the vampire weekend concert the day before (which was great, might I add). then i went to cross country practice and had a quick scooter gang meeting.
