Rachel Lara is easily my favorite non-album track. I wish they would post some demos or something.

I made myself an iTunes playlist with new songs from live show recordings and I've been listening to that to tide me over till the album comes out in July or whenever.
It's got All Hail Dracula, Banned by the Man, Animal Kind, Back in the Saddle, Critical Drain, Everlyn, Letter, and Personality...

Did you make mp3s from you video recordings?

Head over to: billions.com/avails. Billions just updated SSLYBY's availability to "Spring/Summer 2010; One-offs, college shows, weekend trips; New record Fall 2010 on Polyvinyl". ( Edit to add: Billions books their US shows. Puschen has their Europe/UK availability listed as "tour in the fall 2010. " Oh, and if you're worried the album is never going to come out and will be delayed again, I don't think so. The album was mixed at Smart Studios in Madison during the month of Feb, and Smart Studios closed its doors for good Mar 1st. I guess they could be mixing somewhere else as well, but that seems unlikely.

Woot! And there was this funny SSLYBY Twitter post by Phil today: "getting REALLY close,i swear. Also: Check out the new @onefortheteam record. It came out yesterday. And @free__ENERGY is on Letterman 2night" I can only assume Phil means they're getting really close to an album release date announcement or title. Official release dates are always Tuesdays.

Every time I hear the bands members talk about the new album I get the impression that it's their favorite one so far and that they're really happy with it. I really want to agree, so fingers crossed! Pershing is my favorite album of all time, though right now Dirty Projector's Bitte Orca is giving it a run for its money on my playlists. Oh, and I may or may not have stayed up till 2am this morning trying to clean up the blurred out images on the CD liner notes. No luck - look like Polyvinyl used a smear effect.

Wooh, that's dedication! I lost my pershing disc I can still play it over the car stereo from my ipod though, so it's all good. Kind of miss the cd quality though.

John Rob was sick. Will has a new guitar. I kind of like the three piece sound.

Ray, you make me laugh. I followed your bike comment on the Facebook page to a fake family portrait of you, some friends, and a bear? P.S. You should follow Polyvinyl on Twitter.com. Today (May 3) they tweeted that the unnamed album would be available for pre-order soon. WOOOOOOOHOOO.

Early yesterday evening I saw a post in this thread by Clobo about a new song playing on Polyvinyl's website. I went and listened and then replied here to Clobo's post. After listening a few more times I tweeted about the song. Phil saw my tweet and contacted Polyvinyl and me. It was a Polyvinyl computer error and the song wasn't suppose to be on Polyvinyl's website until some future date and time! Yikes!! I immediately removed my tweet and then totally rewrote this post to remove the song title. Then I contacted Meghan and 'Clobo' so that post could get fixed too. Polyvinyl fixed their error less than 15 minutes after I tweeted about it. Polyvinyl's sad about the computer mistake, and both they and Phil are heartbroken having to play "Big Brother" in asking us to not mention the song title anywhere for now. Don't worry, Phil indicated the song will be available to listen to for real again sometime soon. P.S. Even though I didn't know any better I feel absolutely mordified. I keep changing this post to make it less specific without leaving you guys totally in the dark. And I keep guiltily checking the Internet watching for signs of any blogs picking up Clobo and my forum posts, or my tweet, and running with them. So far everything looks good which is a huge relief to me.
